This early William Moorcroft miniature flower vase dates to the Art Nouveau period of 1920 and takes the form of a small earthenware vessel with a tapered body and a flared rim. The piece displays a dark cobalt blue glaze and an orange, brown, and green pomegranate motif rendered in raised tube-lining, accompanied by small berries and leaf details. The finish is glossy and the body is turned with a smooth, curved contour. It measures 9.5 cm high, 6.5 cm wide, and 6.5 cm deep. In a modern interior, this vase suits placement on a mantelpiece or a display shelf within an English Country House setting, holding small dried stems or standing alone as a decorative art object.

Founded by William Moorcroft in the late 19th century, Moorcroft pottery gained distinction for hand-applied slip-tubelining and vibrant glazes, becoming a definitive example of British Art Nouveau and Art Deco ceramic design.

Craftsmen raised liquid clay trailing lines onto the unfired earthenware vessel using a piping bag, creating distinct raised outlines that held translucent coloured glazes applied prior to high-temperature firing.

Authentic pieces feature impressed makers marks, factory stamps on the base, hand-painted painters initials or full William Moorcroft signatures, along with tactile tube-lined decoration.

Position miniature ceramics alongside natural timber surfaces, within curated mantelpiece displays, or on dark bookshelf surfaces to highlight rich glazes against neutral backdrops.

Wipe dust off using a soft dry cloth, avoiding immersion in water or the use of chemical liquid cleaners, as moisture can penetrate glaze crazing over time.
