Cross Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The good quality 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell. It has a painted dial with subsidiary seconds dial and date indicator. The phases of the moon are displayed in the arch of the dial.
The case is in good unrestored original condition. The veneer on the base is a bit wavy but there are no cracks.
The movement is in good working order with all functions working as they should and looks to have recently been serviced. The dial and moon disc have a few marks as can be seen in the pictures
