This is a gorgeous example of an Old Sheffield Plate wine cooler, dating from the reign of George III c1810.
In a classic ''campana'' style, it is in three parts, being fitted with a removable rim and inner sleeve liner for ice .
It''s in a great condition: there is loss to the plating, as one would expect, but this is mainly around the pedestal base. There are no dents and no inscriptions.
