Air twist glasses feature elongated air bubbles trapped within the stem during the manufacturing process, created by drawing out air from the molten metal and twisting it.

These pieces were typically crafted from lead glass or soda-lime glass, hand-blown by skilled artisans using traditional iron blowpipes and forming tools.

Authenticity is determined by examining pontil marks on the base, minor irregularities in the glass, the weight of the metal, and the specific characteristics of the twist formation.

Antique glass can be displayed within illuminated glass-front cabinets, used as accent pieces on sideboards, or incorporated into curated table settings to introduce historical depth.

Antique glass should be washed by hand using warm water and a mild, non-abrasive detergent, avoiding extreme temperature fluctuations to prevent thermal shock.
