A very impressive good quality pair of 19th Century Chinese Cantonese / Rose medallion vases on stands.

Each with classical green ground, inset hand painted panels depicting various male and female courtiers in the grounds of pagoda buildings. Mounted with gilded Foo dog handles and lizard mounts. Raised on hand carved classical gilt wood pedestals, circa 1880.

This large pair of 19th-century Chinese export Rose Medallion vases on stands shows a classical green ground with hand-painted multicolour panels depicting various male and female courtiers in the grounds of pagoda buildings. Each porcelain vessel incorporates mounted gilded Foo dog handles and lizard mounts, resting on hand-carved classical giltwood pedestals with acanthus leaf mouldings and scroll feet.
