A Liverpool clock of good proportions. The mahogany case has a lovely faded colour, well matched decorative veneers, and stands on ogee bracket feet
 
The 13'' break arch eight day movement has a rolling moon automaton, and a centre sweep date indicator hand. The dial also has a subsidiary dial for the seconds and an engraved cartouche for Simcock, Liverpool.
 
It is unusually small, standing 84'' high, including the ball and eagle finial.
