Arundel Clocks has dated this piece to the 1890s.
I have for sale a very rare 1890s English double fusee grandfather clock in stunning condition for the age striking the hours on a bell with a stunning early movement fully restored and in perfect working order.

99% of grandfather clocks are weight driven this purpose built example is very rare having a thick plated double fusee movement in the most stunning thick heavy but miniatue in size grandfather clock case in solid flame mahogany with lots of inlay.

The Case
The case is in beautiful mahogany with stringing inlay and stands 180cm high x 37cm wide with a depth of 26cm it is in very good original condition very shiny has had a lot of wax over the years and very well-looked after, with a thick glass front door.

The clock stands on wooden-shaped feet.
The Dial

The Movement
The movement is an eight-day double fusee time and strike which strikes the hours on a large tuned bell to the top. the movement was fully restored with new springs two months ago so keeping good time over eight days via the original pendulum.

Overall a very nice clock quite rare in this original condition that looks great on display keeping good time.
The photos do not do justice to this lovely old clock.
