Cross Antiques has dated this piece to the 1750s.
The hood has slim turned columns with gilt brass capitals and a deep cornice with Greek key decoration.

The most attractive brass dial has finely cast spandrels and a large date indicator (fixed). The probably associated 30 hour plated movement strikes the hours on a bell.
The case is in good condition and a lovely colour but does have the inevitable shrinkage crack to the base and the top molding on the RH side of the hood has been shortened slightly. The movement is in good working order and complete with pendulum, weight and bell.
The maximum dimensions are:
52cm (20.5“) wide at top of hood
199cm (78.5“) high
25cm (10“) deep
