18th Cent Oak 8 Day Longcase Clock

Description

A handsome oak longcase clock by Joseph Bowles of Winbourne (Wimbourne) Dorset. He is listed as working there from 1740-1793.

It has a nice slim case is golden oak and a very attractive engraved silvered dial. The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a subsidiary seconds dial and working date indicator.

Both case and movement are in excellent condition and in full working order and keeping good time.

The maximum dimensions are:

210cm(82.5") high

52cm(20.5") wide

29cm(11.5") deep
