Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This set of six Art Deco champagne coupes originates from England around 1930. The drinking vessels take the form of bright green uranium glass with shallow circular bowls, hollow stems, and flat circular feet. Each piece displays a vibrant translucent tone, slender stems with vertical channels, and circular bases resting upon a dark neutral surface. The dimensions measure 125 cm high and 8.75 cm wide. These vintage glasses suit display atop a dining room sideboard or inside a glassware cabinet. They bring a distinct period aesthetic to home entertaining when serving champagne or sparkling wine during dinner parties and celebrations.

FAQs

Uranium glass is glassware containing small quantities of uranium oxide added prior to melting to impart distinct yellow or green colouration, produced predominantly from the mid-nineteenth century through the 1930s.

Hollow stem coupes feature a continuous open central column extending from the foot into the base of the bowl, allowing liquid and effervescence to travel down the stem.

Authentic uranium glass displays a characteristic yellow-green translucent appearance under daylight and fluoresces vivid green when exposed to ultraviolet light due to its radioelement content.

Display these pieces on open bar carts, glass-backed cabinetry, or mirrored trays where direct ambient light highlights their translucent colouration.

Wash stemware individually by hand using lukewarm water and mild dish detergent, avoiding dishwashers or rapid thermal shifts to prevent fracturing.
