We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Georgian silver items were produced during the reigns of Kings George I to IV, characterised by classic proportions, hand-hammered or cast construction, and distinct hallmarks indicating the assay office, maker, and year.

These pieces are typically crafted from sterling silver, adhering to the 925 standard, and were shaped using traditional smithing techniques such as casting, hammering, and hand-engraving.

Authenticity is verified by checking for legible hallmarks, makers marks, appropriate weight, natural patination, and microscopic wear patterns consistent with historical use.

They can be integrated as functional table service or displayed within glass cabinets to add historical contrast and metallic sheen to contemporary settings.

Preservation requires storing items in tarnish-resistant cloth, washing them gently with mild soap and warm water when necessary, and avoiding harsh abrasive dips that strip the historic patina.
