We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This Edwardian teaspoon and sugar tongs set dates from 1900. The collection comprises six silver teaspoons with fluted handles and matching sugar tongs, housed in an original presentation case covered in black leatherette. The interior features cream silk upholstery in the lid, stamped with a maker mark, and a deep blue velvet base fitted to hold the pieces securely. A handwritten white tag rests inside the lid on a string. The presentation case measures 16 cm high, 22 cm wide, and 22 cm deep. Items of this type suit placement on a sideboard top in a living or dining room for display or use during formal tea service. The polished silver finish catches the light against the contrasting dark blue fabric background, while the fitted interior protects each spoon and the tongs within the hinged case.

Edwardian silver sets, produced between 1901 and 1910, typically display refined classical or Art Nouveau influences, lighter proportions than Victorian styles, and are often presented in plush fitted display cases.

These sets were manufactured from sterling silver or silver plate, often housed inside wooden presentation boxes lined with silk, satin, and velvet for protection.

Genuine British silver pieces feature official hallmark stamps including a makers mark, town mark, lion passant for sterling quality, and specific date letters corresponding to the 1901 to 1910 era.

Display the open case on a sideboard, dresser, or inside a glass-fronted cabinet alongside contemporary tableware to add a refined historic element to dining spaces.

Clean gently using a soft cloth and specialised silver polish, avoid harsh chemical dips, and keep stored in its original fabric-lined case away from excess moisture to prevent tarnish and oxidisation.
