Art Nouveau glass is characterised by organic motifs, flowing asymmetrical lines, and naturalistic subject matter inspired by flora and fauna, prominent from roughly 1890 to 1910.

Cameo glass involves acid-etching or carving multiple layers of coloured glass to create a raised design, often supplemented with hand-applied enamel painting for added detail and colour depth.

Authenticity is typically verified through maker signatures or etched marks on the body, weight, consistency of the glass layers, hand-finished detailing, and correct wear patterns consistent with age.

Position the vessel as a solo focal point on a mantelpiece or side cabinet to highlight its craftsmanship, ensuring natural light can pass through the translucent glass layers.

Clean gently with a soft, lint-free cloth and lukewarm water, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners, abrasive scrubbing, or submerging pieces with fragile enamelled surfaces.
