Georgian plain stem wine glasses typically feature a simple, un-faceted cylindrical stem supporting a round bowl, produced during the reigns of George I through George IV.

These items were predominantly made from lead glass, known for its relative weight and clarity, and were hand-blown using traditional iron and blowpipe techniques.

Authentic pieces often exhibit pontil marks on the underside of the folded foot, minor surface irregularities from hand-blowing, and wear consistent with age.

Antique stemware can be displayed within glass-fronted cabinets or styled neatly on open shelving to highlight historical craftsmanship and texture.

Wash antique glass gently by hand using lukewarm water and mild detergent, avoiding sudden temperature changes and harsh scrubbing.
