Edwardian cruet sets were manufactured during the reign of King Edward VII (19011910), a period known for opulent dining customs, formal table settings, and elaborate silver tableware designed for condiments.

These sets typically feature blown or cut clear glass bodies combined with sterling silver collars, mounts, and stoppers, often stamped with British hallmarks indicating the assay office, date letter, and makers mark.

Authentic pieces exhibit clear hallmarks on the silver mounts, hand-blown glass characteristics such as pontil marks or slight imperfections, and traditional period craftsmanship consistent with early 20th-century silversmithing.

An antique silver and glass cruet set can be displayed on an open dining room shelf, a sideboard, or used functionally on a modern dining table to add historical texture and reflective metallic detail to a contemporary tablescape.

Glass components should be washed gently in warm soapy water, while silver mounts require periodic cleaning with a soft microfibre cloth and specialized silver polish, avoiding abrasive cleaners to protect the metal and hallmarks.
