Arundel Clocks has dated this piece to the 1860s.
The clock comes with a key.

This clock was made in France around the 1860s and is a very heavy clock with a thick plated movement large heavy case with a matching thick handle and rare mint green chapter ring with the Roman numerals I think you will agree it stands out in a crowd as a simply beautiful carriage clock.

The Case
The case is in original condition and very shiny so hard to photograph they do not do the clock justice at all and retain the original base plate.

The Dial
The dial is in original condition in white with the rare green/mint chapter ring and the Roman numerals and retains its original black very fine moon hands again in original condition and the dial is sat on a false plate so an early heavy old clock.

The Movement
The movement is an eight-day time only, the movement has been fully restored and oiled so keep a great time over the eight days running via the original jewelled and serviced platform escapement.

Overall a beautiful quality carriage clock by a quality French maker that looks beautiful on display and contains all of its original features this is quite a rare find these days, a real quality carriage clock.
