Arundel Clocks has dated this piece to the 1860s.
I have for sale an 1860s fusee convex dial clock with a 14" dial in a solid flame mahogany dovetailed case with a very thin wooden rim and convex glass and cast brass bezel.
The Case
The case is in solid flame mahogany and stands 43cm round x 18cm in depth.
The clock has an opening side and bottom door., and on the top of the clock is the steel hanging bracket.

The Dial
The dial is in original condition convex 14” across painted white with Roman numerals and covered by large convex glass in a heavy cast brass bezel.
The dial says Walford & Sons Banbury.
The Movement

The movement is an eight-day time-only fusee it is a thick plated heavy built movement with thick pillars very fine crutch a sign of a top-quality old movement.
The movement has just been fully ultra-sonic cleaned and restored with a new spring and gut added by myself and is running strong keeping good time over the eight days.

The fusee is run via gut; she still retains the original pendulum/key.
Overall a very nice original clock in original condition looking great on the wall.
If you require any more information or pictures please ask you are welcome to come and view the clock or I can send a direct whatsapp film of the clock running if desired, as with all my clocks they will leave with a back-to-base 3-month guarantee and should you need your clock serviced in the future, of course, this would be done heavily discounted by myself, I am always happy to buy one of my clocks back in the future should you wish to PX or simply sell on.
