Full of Character, Old World Charm and Loved over its Many Years and still Offered in Sturdy Structure and Full Working Order, This Oak Clock is of Part Peg Jointed Construction to the Hood. Please See Photos 5 & 6.

Height 84in or 213.5cm

Hood width 58cm

Hood depth 27cm

The 8 Day Movement is Typical of Early 19th Century Construction with its Painted Dial Signed Evan Jones of Dolgelly Wales - Believed apprenticed at Dolgelly in 1806 to Edward Richards. Working at Machynlleth Wales Circa 1835.

With Attractive Bird & Floral Design, Seconds Dial and Date Window. The Back of the Date Wheel is Stamped Fenton Birmingham (Eli Felton1808-1831 was a Clock Dial and Button Maker. During 1812-1815 Period in Partnership as Kempson & Felton). The Back Plate Stamped for Hodgkins Birmingham - Later to Become Hodgkins & Booth (or possibly Bootle?)1842-1860.
