Arundel Clocks has dated this piece to the 1880s.
I have for sale a French gilt bronze mantle clock made in France around 1880 and contains the most stunning hand-painted porcelain panels of hummingbirds and wildflowers the colours are so vibrant your eye is drawn to the whole clock, and the clocks case and movement have both been fully restored ultrasonic cleaned and the movement re-built oiled run and tested.

The Case
The Dial

The dial is in original condition hand painted porcelain with black Roman numerals and the original gilt ornate hands.
The Movement
The movement is an eight-day time and strike which strikes the hours and halves on a small sweet sivered bell, the movement has been fully ultrasonic cleaned and hand polished serviced, and oiled so the clock is keeping good time over the eight days and has the retail/makers stamp for Richard and Co.

Overall a very rare beautiful quality mantle clock by a quality French maker that looks stunning on display and contains all of its original features this is quite a rare find these days.
