French Four Glass Clock

19th century
Description

A French four glass mantel clock dating to the end of the 19th Century. It has a brass framed case, with bevel edge glass panels. The enamel dial has a paste jewelled bezel and is decorated with garlands and blue numerals. The 8 day movement strikes the hours and halves on a gong and has a sealed, mecury filled pendulum. The movement is stamped "H & H" (France, c. 1890)

17.00cm wide 27.00cm high 13.00cm deep (6.69 inches wide 10.63 inches high 5.12 inches deep)

Current Condition

The case has been polished and lacquered so it will not tarnish, the movement has been serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months (our professional servicing includes cleaning, any necessary bushing, pivot polishing, testing and timing)
