FAQs

Apostle spoons feature figures of the apostles on the terminal ends of the handles, a tradition originating in pre-Reformation England where they were commonly given as christening gifts.

These items are typically crafted from sterling silver using traditional silversmithing techniques, often featuring cast figural finials and hand-chased stem detailing.

Authentic pieces bear period hallmarks indicating the assay office, date letter, makers mark, and the lion passant denoting sterling silver standard.

They are typically displayed within glass-fronted cabinets, shadow boxes, or kept in their original presentation cases as part of a curated tablescape or cabinet of curiosities.

Store them in tarnish-resistant cloth or lined presentation cases, and clean periodically with a non-abrasive silver polish formulated for antiques.
