Clockwise is delighted to welcome into its ''family'' a lovely Welsh mahogany cased eight day rack-striking longcase clock for your consideration. Standing on its original plinth base to an impressive height the case is in excellent condition with the trunk being flanked by twisted columns and boxwood inlay being present to both the trunk and the base. The trunk door has its original working lock and key. Oak veneer bands heighten the appearance of the trunk which moves up to the mahogany and boxwood inlaid hood. Tapered pillars with brass capitals to the upper and base flank the opening door with a brass knob for access. The boxwood inlay continutes above the dial with a decorative scroll adorning the top of the hood with three raised plinths with ball and eagle original brass finials complimenting the design.
