Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian silver typically features lighter, more graceful designs influenced by 18th-century neoclassical and rococo revivals, often incorporating floral garlands, scrollwork, and piercing.

These items were predominantly crafted from sterling silver, utilising techniques such as hammering, spinning, casting, and detailed hand-chasing or repousse work.

Authenticity is verified through hallmark stamps indicating the assay office, standard mark (such as the lion passant for sterling), date letter corresponding to the Edwardian period (1901-1910), and makers mark.

An antique silver bowl can be used as a striking centrepiece on a dining table, filled with seasonal fruit, or displayed empty on a sideboard to add reflective metallic contrast to modern schemes.

Antique silver should be cleaned sparingly using a specialist non-abrasive silver polish and a soft microfibre cloth to preserve the fine detail and natural patination, avoiding harsh chemical dips.
