Fine Old Sheffield Plated Quart Tankard C1800

Description

A fine glass bottomed quart tankard made of Old Sheffield Plate. Bearing no makers mark but dating to c1800-1820. With cross banded decoration and bearing some stylised initials to the front. With a visible internal seam.

The condition is very good overall with no splits or major dents. There is copper bleed to the initials and raised and slight signs of age related wear. The glass bottom is intact with one small bubble in the glass. The interior is very clean.

Weight approx 500g.

Height approx 16.5cm.

Total span approx 16cm.

Base diameter approx 11cm.
