Carse Antiques has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The hood door has its original piece of glass. The clock has is a lovely golden oak colour with original waxed finish.

The clock is by JOHN CURLE of KELSO who is listed as working in the late 18th to early 19th centuries. The movement is of 8 day duration and stikes on the hour on a bell. The clock has its original weights and original painted penduleum. The movement has been fully serviced.
All in all a very nice example of late 18th century Scottish clockmaking in terrific original condition.
