Welsh oak chest or coffer of small proportions, the lid with front moulding and pin hinges, the front with a carved panel of opposing Renaissance monsters or dragons flanked by lunettes, with carved spandrels below, and plain sides extended to form cut-out feet.
Wonderful colour and surface patination.
(Some historical worm damage to the lid and feet. Parts of spandrels missing. Missing internal till)
