This traditionally constructed case has a deep shine to it and is larger than most that house a twelve inch dial; there is an inspection door to each side of the case and also a lower door. The movement has just been restored and as such benefits from my three year guarantee. Blued original hands sweep around and over the refurbished dal which is in gorgeous condition and signed by the maker J.N Paul of Abingdon who had a jewellery and clock/watchmaking business sited in Ock Street, Abingdon. He was born in 1854 and was recorded as married and working as a watchmaker in the 1881 census. The clock comes complete with a key and its original pendulum.
