A highly decorative 19th Century Japanese gilt lacquered cabinet from the Meiji period (1868-1912) the double hinged doors decorated with two eagles in relief, each standing on a pole in a shaped panel, opening to reveal two shelves and five drawers, all above another five drawers decorated with birds in gilt, the panels with birds among pine and bamboo.
