Mahogany 8 Day Longcase Grandfather Clock

19th century
Description

A handsome longcase clock, the dial signed for Smallwood Macclesfield.

The handsome case is in nicely figured mahogany and is in excelent unrestored condition.

The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell. The brass dial is a bit of a mistery in that the dial incorporates an early chapter ring on a later dial plate with gilt spandrels.

Whilst not completely original it does make a very handsome clock, it is in good working (with the exception of the date indicator) and keeping good time.

The maximum dimensions ate:

213cm (84") excluding the finial (+ 8cm)

51cm (20") wide

28cm (11") deep

Free local delivery and setup (50mls), national and international delivery arranged at cost

We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
