The Silver Cabinet has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
These dinner forks are very clearly hallmarked for York 1836, just at the end of the reign of William IV. The maker's marks are for James Barber & William North. There is an initial on the reverse of each finial and the forks are in the fiddle pattern.
