Description

This is a good 19th century Fusee movement wall clock by Johnathan Swaine of Leeds in excellent original condition dating from around 1830. The good quality flame mahogany case has a wonderful colour and patina, and is inlaid with attractive brass detail. The 12” convex dial is in lovely clean condition, painted with Roman numerals and signed Jno Swaine Leeds. The clock has a top quality 8 day single Fusee movement with anchor escapement that runs beautifully and has just been serviced by our horologist.

The clock measures 68 cms high by 38 cms wide by 18 cms deep.
