Edinburgh Longcase Clock By John Paterson

A very popular style of longcase clock made during the first quarter of the 19th century in Edinburgh.
 
This particular clock has been priced accordingly due to its current condition. The movement is currently working well but is not covered but our usual 3 year guarantee. However, a full overhaul and service could be carried out on request.
 
The cabinetwork is in reasonable condition but its current flaws are commiserate with its age. It has various cracks throughout the case which are of course part of its life. They could certainly be improved but again this is reflected in the price it’s being offered at. The case does appear to be very stable and there are no loose mouldings of veneers to speak of.
 
The silvered brass dial features matching blued steel hands, date and seconds. The movement strikes the hours on a bell and is of 8 day duration.
