Arundel Clocks has dated this piece to the 1890s.
I have for sale 1890s heavy striking carriage clock made in France around 1890.
The Case
5” high x 3.5” wide with a depth of 3” it is in good original condition with mint 5mm thick beveled sides/front/back door and top viewing glass.

The case is very shiny so hard to photograph they do not do the clock justice at all.
All the case parts have matching numbers.
The Dial
The dial is in good original condition white with Roman numerals and also contains its original black spade hands.

The dial is signed on the front at the bottom 911 Oxford Street West.
The Movement
The movement is an eight-day time and strikes which strikes the hours and halves via small sweet gong to the rear which works 100% correctly, the movement has been fully ultrasonic cleaned all screws and gong have been re-blued and new springs added then oiled so keeping good time over the eight days via the original fully restored silvered platform escapement.

If you require any further information, please ask. I am happy to send more photographs or can video the clock running if desired. You are also very welcome to come and view the clock in person, which I would be happy to recommend as the photographs really can’t do it justice.

As with all my clocks, this one is sold with a ‘back-to-base’ 3-month guarantee. I also offer future clock servicing, which I carry out personally at a heavily discounted rate.
Overall a very beautiful quality carriage clock by a quality French maker that looks stunning on display and contains all of its original features this is quite a rare find these days.
