Arundel Clocks has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The Case:
In solid brass, stands 7” high 3” in width with a depth of 2". When the dome is inplace the whole item is 11” high x 5” wide x 5 in depth. It is in perfect condition standing on a solid Mahogany wooden base, it is very heavy with thick heavy plates, a top-quality antique clock.
The Dial:
In good original condition, silvered with black Roman numerals, the clock also retains its original black spade hands.
The Movement:
An eight-day time only, the movement has been fully serviced so keeping a great time over the eight days via the original platform escapement.
Overall, a beautiful English skeleton clock which looks stunning on display and contains all its original features - quite a rare find these days.
