Frodsham English Bracket Clock

1900 - 1920
Description

Hi

I have for sale a top top-quality Mahogany/maple inlay bracket clock in original condition retailed by Frodsham and numbered 20809 with a French movement by AD Mouglin marked on the back plate.

The Case

The case is to die for simply stunning in solid heavy mahogany wood with maple stringing, the clock stands 13” high x 9” wide with a depth of 5” it is in very good original condition has had a lot of wax over the years.

The Dial

The dial is in mint condition in white porcelain with the black Roman numerals with the original black moon hands still present.

The dial is signed Frodsham 20809.

The face is covered by a convex glass in a brass bezel which opens with ease.

The Movement

The movement is an eight eight-day time and strike which has the gong at the rear, this movement was cleaned and serviced two months ago so keeping good time over eight days.

Overall a very nice clock quite rare in this form that looks great on display keeping a great time.

The photos do not do justice to this lovely old clock.
