Description

A nice early 19th Cent longcase clock by Nathaniel Dumvile of Stockport, Cheshire. He is listed as working there from 1820.

It has an oak case with lots of figured mahogany decoration to the hood and trunk.

The good quality 8 day movement has an attractive painted dial with subsidiary seconds and date dials and it displays the phases of the moon to the arch.

The case is in reasonable condition but has the odd signes of age and use and there is the inevitable shrinkage crack to the base.

The movement has recently been serviced and is all in good working order and keeping good time.
