A Late 19th Century Brass Lantern Clock

Description

A late Victorian brass lantern clock timepiece in the late 17th century style, the patinated brass case with a turned finial over a strapwork decorative covered bell and with pierced panels to three sides with dolphins with entwined tails and scrolls over a 4.75” (12cm) circular dial with Roman numerals in black with an inner minute track, and with black hands and with scrolling decoration to the centre and with pillars to the corners, and on turned feet, with a back door to a French eight day timepiece movement with an English lever platform escapement. English, with a French movement, circa 1890. Key supplied.

Condition: Overall very good, the case is in excellent condition (it was patinated to look old) and the movement has been fully serviced and overhauled and is in full working condition.
