William Comyns Silver Timepiece

1900 - 1920
Description

A very attractive solid silver timepiece by the famous silversmiths , William Comyns with hallmarks and date letter stamp 'e' for 1900 The clock stands on four bun feet and the classic 'C' scroll handle. Measuring 10cms tall. Wound from the rear behind a shaped door. A clock which looks good almost anywhere you place it ! Interestingly William Comyns was founded in 1730’s and in business from the 1850’s until the 1930’s with the W.C trade/hallmark. Comyns silversmiths is still trading and with a quick search you’ll see the fine contemporary pieces they now produce. Sold fully restored and fully guaranteed for 24months.
