Cloisonne Carriage Clock

19th century
Description

A very attractive and quite rare carriage clock with Cloisonne decoration to the gilded case and to the dial mask. The clock has the more unusual convex front glass which carries through to the case. The columns are Corinthian capped and the dial is showing Roman numerals. The clock has push repeat for the hour ans is sold fully restored and fully guaranteed. A wonderful example and perhaps a clock for the collector. You very rarely see these Cloisonne examples any more and this one with plenty of cobalt blue is quite striking and yet elegant.
