Single Hand Longcase Clock By John Ogden, Darlington

Here we have a really beautiful Georgian single hand longcase clock by John Ogden of Darlington dating to around 1730 and having a 30 hour movement, It has a good brass dial with ornate spandrels and a single black hand, there is also a square date aperture and is in full working order.
 
The case is a slightly later early Victorian carved Oak case of fabulous quality with good tongue and groove jointing and a fabulous Green Man style carving on the base, the door has the initials ''WL'' inlaid, there is an old split to the base which has been glued.
