Clockwise has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The dial surround is attached to the main case by four wooden pegs. The twelve inch dial has been tastefully restored and the original hands complete the stunning appearance. Inside the movement has been stripped, rebushed, cleaned and oiled through and is covered by my three year guarantee.

This is a rare find, its provenance can be dated thanks to the original note attached to the inside door reading ' Employment Exchange, Mare Street Hackney, Women's Dept, 1st Floor, 4-2-32' And the current Jobcentre is still at the same address!

Rather than trusting a courier of any sort I prefer collection or I can deliver regionally/nationally. I do use Royal Mail as a courier and post nationally so this tracked and insured service is available, please enquire for a quote. All antique clocks require delicate handling and specific setting up so it is far better for a dealer to meet a client and talk them through the process, or set the clock up for them, rather than leave the client struggling at the other end on their own but this redoubtable clock will be straightforward to set up for you. I am always available for a video chat should there be any problems.
