Regency Mahogany Convex Fusee Dial Clock

19th century
Description

A nice Regency period fusee dial clock. The case is in nicely figured mahogany with brass inlay to the trunk.

The 8 day fusee movement has a smart 12" diameter convex dial and fine steel hands. The dial is signed for Tucker, Trowbridge. This is probably Josh Tucker who is listed as working there C1830.

The case is generally in good condition but does have signed of age and use, particularly a small veneer repair to the trunk and the side door has lost some of its border. The dial is slightly faded and has the odd chip to the paint round the rim.

The movement is in good condition and keeping good time.

The maximum dimensions are:

47cm (18.5") high

39cm (15") wide

15cm (6") deep

Free local delivery and set up (50mls), national and international delivery arranged at cost
