Description

A smart late 18th Cent longcase clock with a very stylish "Chinese" style dial by James Warren of Canterburt, Kent. He is listed as working there from 1767 to 1793.

The nice mahogany case has a long moulded door and moulded panel to the base all in lovely figured mahogany.

The good quality 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a most unusual and attractive painted dial with a chinese theme.

The case is in good unrestored condition, is a lovely colour and has retained its original finish. It does as you would expect, after over 200 years, have the odd nock and mark associated with age and use.

The movementis in good working order and keeping good time.
