A very decorative original antique French clock by the famous maker Japy Freres. It is French Gothic in style, with lions mask above the dial and a dragon to each side. It is constructed of brass with a gilded finish which is in excellent bright and clean condition.

Candelabra are styled with scrolling arms and are complete with original snuffers. These sit in the central sconce as a finial.
The dial is enamel on copper with a brass decorative centre, red half hour markers and blued steel hands.
The Japy Freres French movement is of this clockmakers usual excellent quality. It runs for 8 days on one wind and is in very good clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. We have replaced the missing pendulum. The case is in excellent original condition, bright and fresh with hardly any wear or discolouration. The enamel dial is in excellent condition, just some tiny chips around the winding holes. Candelabra arms are slightly distorted The set displays beautifully as you can see in the pictures below!
Complete with pendulum and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
