Description

Antique 1910s car dashboard clock.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement was either made in Germany, or for the German market, as the regulator is marked V and N for Vorrücken and Nachlassen (fast and slow). The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The clock measures 65mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is nickel and it is in good condition, just a few areas of surface marking but nothing too serious at all.

The case back is hinged which tells us that it is a dashboard clock, and not from a leather cased bedside clock in which case it would have had a screw-on bezel to hold it in the case.

The glass lens is in good lovely condition.

The dial looks good to the naked eye. There is a short faint hairline between 6 and 7 but you have to look quite carefully to see it.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
