Impressive Moondial Longcase Clock

Description

A most impressive mahogany longcase clock by Edward Winstanley of Preston, It has a very attractive dial displaying the phases of the moon. The case has good quality highly figured mahogany veneers. It has a few minor veneer chips and the trunk door has a warp

The 8 day movement has recently been serviced and is keeping good time. The moon feature is not connected and is now for decoration only (this could probably be fixed by an experienced clock maker).

The maximum dimensions are:

232cm(91") high

59cm(23") wide

27cm(10.5") deep
