Description

An impressive Egyptian Revival black and red marble/slate antique clock with bronze Sphinx.

Exquisitely decorated clock case with engraved and cast bronze Egyptian theme details.

The clock is in good antique condition with usual signs of age.

Clock dial is signed, Arnold & Lewis which are recorded as working from c.1870-90 where they succeeded Isaac Simmons (1834-51), hence the clock's signature of "Arnold & Lewis late Simmons".

An original French 8-day striking movement is in good working condition.

An extremely stylish and decorative clock that would grace anyone’s home.
