The clock has an eight inch painted dish dial with the makers name:-

The movement is a five pillar, twin fusee, eight day on chain with pull repeat action, strike - silent mechanism, top pendulum adjustment and holdfast. The clock strikes the hours on a gong and has the makers name engraved on the back plate.

John Peterkin is recorded as working at 25 Cleveland Street, London from 1810 – 1840.
The clock movement has been cleaned and serviced and comes with a 12 month guarantee.
