Its About Time has dated this piece to the 1890s.
. The Ormolu mounts are the original fire gilt and the bracket feet are just as bright. Made in Paris around 1895 stamped and numbered. The clock was retailed by Harrods of Knightsbidge, possibly the finest retailer of French clocks and certainly still one of the country’s finest retailer/department store. The clock strikes one at one and so on, with the half hour always just a single blow of the mellow gong. Importantly signed to the dial Harrods Ltd.
