Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The golden oak case retains it's original French-polished case and has a lovely age related patina.
The 7" silvered dial has black Arabic numerals and is in excellent condition. It is complimented by a silvered pendulum which both contrast beautifully with the golden oak case. There are bevelled glass panels to the lower half of the fully opening front door.
The 8 day movement strikes the Westminster Chime on the quarters and the hour. Very importantly, it strikes on steel rods giving a very clear, crisp tone. It is fitted with a STRIKE/SILENT facility.
Once again our photographs fail to show the true beauty of this clock.
